How can I order your remotes without a part number? We've developed the industry's most comprehensive remote compatibility database. In most cases, we'll just need the year, make and model of your vehicle. Will the remote work on my vehicle right out of the box? Almost. Your vehicle needs to be "programmed" to recognize any keyless entry remote, whether purchased at KeylessRide or at your local dealership. Follow written programming instructions or call our toll-free number when you receive your remote and one of our service technicians will guide you through the programming process. Programming can typically be done in less than five minutes. I don't have any electrical or mechanical abilities whatsoever. Will I be able to program my remote? Yes. And you won't even need to pop the hood of your vehicle nor open the case of your remote. No special tools required. We invite those that have never worked on a car. All that's typically needed is you, your keys, your remotes and your vehicle. I have an existing remote for my vehicle. Can my new remote be programmed without erasing the codes of my old remote? Yes. Our programming procedures will allow for continued operation of any existing remotes while programming in the new remote. I bought a used car and am not sure if it is equipped with keyless entry. Can you help? Yes. When ordering a remote, please choose the year, make and model of your vehicle. The vehicle information page will have a link to help you identify if you have a keyless entry system. My dealership tells me that programming can only be done with their proprietary computers. How can you program my remote without their computers? Only a small percentage of vehicles really need to be plugged into your dealership's computers for keyless entry remote programming.
